Hairroin Birthday Party!!!! 5 years old!! Come celebrate!

Hairroin Salon is Turning Five!
Hollywood’s hottest salon will be celebrated with a big bash… and you’re invited!
October 19th, 2010 (Los Angeles, CA): In a town as transient as Los Angeles, it’s a miracle for something to last five minutes, let alone five years. But Hairroin Salon has done exactly that, and they’re throwing a balls-out birthday party on Saturday, October 23rd to mark it in style!

“It’s huge – if you can make it to five years, you’re good to go,” says owner Janine Jarman. “Our clients always say, ‘Only five?’ It feels like we’ve always been here, and we’ve grown with every year. But there’s a tons more success on the horizon. “

Before that new success comes bursting forth, it’s time to celebrate the salon’s evolution into the powerhouse it is today – and the best way they know how to do that is by taking over The Colony, SBE’s newest nightclub at Hollywood and Vine! Invited guests will enjoy free admission – and free cocktails – from 9 to 11pm, and music.

From there, things get fabulously funky. The salon’s storied history will be told via a slideshow depicting its rise to awesomeness. Live busts will showcase artful hair courtesy of the salon’s stylists. Sebastian will be sponsoring a Styling Station by the bathrooms, so if you don’t like your ‘do, you can head to the loo and get a quickie makeover. And last but certainly not least, guests will have the opportunity to pledge their undying love by committing to a Hairroin tattoo, either temporary or permanent!

It’s been a long journey for Jarman and the salon to go from new kid on the block to inspiring permanent body art. “When we first moved in at Cahuenga and Selma, it definitely wasn’t as cute as it is now,” Jarman recalls. “The area was in definite disrepair, and the salon needed to start from the ground up, building a team and turning the space into a place people really wanted to be. Now, the majority of the staff has worked up to stylist from an assistant position, the area has really grown into a cool destination and a lot of our clients have become friends.”

Which is why it was so important for the salon to share their celebration with the people that helped bring them to that five-year point. And if you ask Jarman what the secret is to sticking around for half a decade, she’ll tell you that the formula is simple: “We’re dedicated to great, attitude-free service, continued education, and being hair junkies.”

For five years, Hairroin Salon has rocked the Cahuenga Corridor with its lustful dedication to great hair. Led by Janine Jarman, finalist on season three of Bravo’s Shear Genuis, Hairroin’s stylists also dedicate themselves to the community, donating their time and efforts to the Los Angeles Youth Network and Beauty Bus. In addition to being a celebrity stylist of choice, Jarman is also the West Coast spokesperson for Sebastian. For more information on Hairroin Salon, please contact:

Hairroin Salon’s Foxy Fridays!

Introducing Hairroin Salon’s Foxy Fridays!

Start your weekends sexy with their new blow-dry bar!

October 8th, 2010 (Los Angeles, CA): It’s the weekend. You’re washing off the soot of your nine-to-five existence with a night out on the town. You’ve figured out what to wear, but have you decided what to do with your hair? Fret not! Boogie on down to Hairroin Salon and get your stylish groove on with Foxy Fridays, where you can order up a steaming hot serving from their brand new blow-dry bar for just $35!

“Blow-dry bars were popularized in New York, and the East coast now has a slew of them,” says Hairroin owner Janine Jarman. “Ours offers people the chance to choose their shampoos, conditioners, treatments and finishes based on their individual needs. With Foxy Fridays, we wanted to give our clients an inexpensive way to get styled for their weekend.”

And it’s a great way to get the party started, too. Not only can you get your ‘do did, but the salon will be transformed into its own version of the Hollywood scene with DJs, cocktails provided by Bombay Sapphire Gin, food and more – all of which is included in the Foxy Friday price! Once you’re done getting dolled up, it’s an easy walk from the salon to any number of Hollywood’s hottest clubs.

So what styles are available to tempt your noggin? With six blow-out options, it’s hard to choose: do you go for a classic pin-curl, go sleek with the flat-iron or try a beachy finish? “All of our blow-outs are fantastic, but we’re known for the Foxy – it’s our signature style, hence why we named our Friday night after it,” Jarman notes.

If you’re worried about the salon intimidation factor, don’t be. As Jarman puts it, “As long as you’re looking for the un-salon atmosphere, you won’t be disappointed. Attitudes are checked at the door, we’re dedicated to hair, and we’re ready to do a makeover at a moment’s notice. We will make you the best you.”

Make your appointment now - Foxy Fridays begin September 10th from 6 – 10pm. Be there, baby!

Irene (I'll cut you) Urias Featured in Glamour.com!

Blog written by Hairroin Salon

Another happy customer writes another article about the one and only Irene Urias. In the “Smitten – Daily Sex and Relationships Blog” section of Glamour.com, Rosemary Brennan wrote a beautiful article regarding the new haircut she wanted to get to surprise her husband.

And of course Irene nailed it for her, which she in turn wrote about it on Glamour.com!!

Rosemary writes “To be extra bold, I decided to take the plunge and get highlights. But when I confessed to my stylist, Irene of Hairroin Salon in Hollywood, that I tend to wait months between salon visits, she suggested I try out balayage, or ombre hair. Beachy tresses that look like they’ve been kissed by the Southern California sun? Yes, please! I haven’t had any coloring since I was in high school so I knew this new look would definitely get a reaction out of my husband.”

New Facebook Page for Janine Jarman

WOW!!! What a year so far! Janine was very hesitant to even create a fan page on Facebook in the first place, because being so busy she was not sure she would have the time to keep it updated enough. But with Shear Genius airing and all of the support and love that she has received, she started to see that it would be a good idea. When we first created the page, we used Janine's name along side of the Shear Genius TV title and season, to help fans find her easily. With Season 3 of Shear Genius over, we have created a new fan page for our loving owner Janine Jarman!

Click Here for Janine’s New Facebook Page

Please give it a looksie! Janine will be posting more content, and the page will be updated more often.

Heidi Van Horne presents Amie Nicole’s “Fit To Rock: Volume One” Fitness DVD.
Amie Nicole knows a thing or two about fit, rockin’ bodies- from being personal training manager at a top gym to being an established pin up and fashion model for leading commercial clients and publications- looking good and being fit is her business.
In the soon to be released “Fit To Rock: Volume One” Fitness video, she shares her tips on how to keep your body in rockin’ shape, too. The routine is a full body workout, with sections for active stretching, cardio kickboxing, upper body, lower body and abs.
Amie is a certified and degreed personal trainer, recently seen on Discovery Health’s “National Body Challenge”, getting the show’s contestants closer to their fitness goals. She runs her own personal training business outside of Los Angeles.
Brought to you by one of today’s top pin up models and emerging independent producers, Heidi Van Horne has worked with some of the best in the entertainment business and has now taken her experience of almost two decades in front of the camera and brought it to her work as director and producer.
Featuring killer music by female-fronted punk and rock bands like CIVET, Killola, HotLites and Continue the Lie, the soundtrack is perfectly fit to rock you while you work your body. Drawing together elements of punk, pinup, hot rod, rockabilly and rock-n-roll styles, everything from the set to the kickass music to the styling to Amie’s taste in workout partners- make it clear that this is not your average work out video! Look forward to a DVD that is finally a real modern girl’s fun way to get fit!

"The Death of a Blonde" Before and After by Senior Stylist Monique Cardenas

Blog written by Hairroin Salon

We found the most beautiful blog post written about Hairroion Salon's own Senior Stylist Monique Cardenas today that we thought we would share with you all!

The post was written by "Guy's Gal", J. Michelle who is an author for the beauty blog Glow Blog.

Taken from Glow Blog:

" When you’re about to do something drastic with your hair I highly recommend going to someone who’s great with color, has a resume and knows what they are doing. Going to a random person that isn’t familiar with your hair texture and chemistry can be disastrous. Monique Cardenas from Harroin Salon is my go-to hair lady. She has an impressive resume and lucky for me her specialties are bobs and color. After sitting down with her for 2-3 minutes she practically read my mind and knew exactly what I wanted. On a side note, your hair stylist should connect with you and get what YOU want, not what THEY want, then interpret that into something fabulous. The countdown to my hair being saturated with color began. Last chance to back out. I’m not exaggerating when I say that panic mode kicked in. Will it look good? What if it’s not the right color? What if I hate it and want my blonde back? This is where your mental preparation beforehand comes into play and your stylist (or in this case new psychologist) should be right there to talk you through it."

Janine Jarman's Shoulder Tattoo

Hello folks! It’s been a crazy last few weeks! We at Hairroin Salon have received over 50 emails in the last few weeks about the tattoo on Janine Jarman's shoulder.

Asking to see better pics, what/who inspired it, and who it was done by. We finally had some time to snap off a few close ups and thought I would post them for you all to see. Let her know on

1. When did you get the tattoo on your shoulder? About two years ago.
2. What exactly is it? It’s a collective of ideas that was mainly inspired by my Grandmother (the heart doilies ), and one of my favorite artists : Kukula
3. How long did it take to get finished? I actually went in twice, once for the black and white which took about three hours, then again another time for the rest of the color. The color took about another two and a half hours.
4. Where did you get it done and by whom? Neil from Classic Tattoo Studio. His shop is in Upland California. While there are tons of amazing artists here in LA, this guy is beyond amazing. Their address is 1710 W. Foothill Blvd. Suite F1 Upland, CA 91786 and the phone number is 909-949-7971. If you have the time to go sit down with Neil, then you are in luck. He is a genius, and one of the nicest people ever. His myspace is click here for Classic Tattoo Studio .
5. Do you have any other tattoos? Haha, too many to tell. I have a huge corset lace tattoo covering most of my back, as well as a bunch of little tattoos.
6. Can we see the corset tattoo? Sure. 

Congratulations to Janine Jarman for winning Bravo TV's "Shear Genius 3"' Fan Favorite

Our fearless leader here at Hairroin Salon , the tattooed Janine Jarman (runner up in Shear Genius 3) was annouced by Liam Neeson as the winner of $10,000 for Bravo TV's Fan Favorite!!!!

From Bravo's Website:

"So, Brig may have won the big prize, but Janine didn't go home empty-handed. See, you guys like her, you really like her, and voted her Fan Favorite, winning her a whopping $10K! Liam Neeson himself made the big announcement on Watch What Happens Live last night, and we asked Janine for a response:

I am so pumped to have won Fan Favorite! I cannot express my gratitude for everyone who supported me and my work on the show. Fan Favorite is the real contest with no politics. You are actually judged by your peers and fans of the show, not just a judging panel of four people. I had a total blast on the show, and just can't wait to see what the future holds. You haven't seen the last of me!

Mazel, Janine! Watch the big announcement:"
